Data Privacy Brasil, with the support of Global Partners Digital, promotes on March 12th the “Latin American & Caribbean Regional Roundtable on Internet Fragmentation and Digital Sovereignty”.
The event is being organized based on the “Internet Fragmentation and Digital Sovereignty” project, developed by the Governance and Regulation area. The purpose of this meeting is to promote a space for qualified regional discussion on the intersections between Internet Fragmentation and Digital Sovereignty. As panelists, we will have:
  • Nilo Pasquali, graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasília (UNB) and a postgraduate degree in Telecommunications Regulation from UNB. Regulatory Specialist at Anatel since 2005.
  • Ana Camelo, PhD in Scientific and Technological Policy from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). She completed a sandwich doctorate internship at the University of Sussex (England), in the Science and Technology Policy Research department. She is currently a researcher and project manager at the Center for Teaching and Research in Innovation (CEPI), at the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas.
  • Cristian Coronado, specialist in digital rights, cybersecurity and digital government. Since 2021, he has served as executive director of the InternetBolivia.org Foundation and Executive Secretary of the AlSur consortium, which brings together 11 digital rights organizations in the region.
  • Robyn Greene, Privacy Policy Manager at Meta, working to develop laws, regulations and internal policies that protect human rights.

The event takes place on March 12th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., via Zoom. The discussion will be conducted in English, but a Spanish translation will be available.
