The Digital Commerce Agenda and the Positioning of Brazil

The Digital Commerce Agenda and the Positioning of Brazil

In July 2022, Data Privacy Brasil Research Association promoted a meeting to deepen the diagnosis on the relationship between the digital commerce agenda (also called electronic commerce) and the digital rights agenda. This meeting brought together professionals from more than twenty civil society organizations for a common reflection on the challenges posed by the trade agenda in the field of digital rights, as well as the effects on national sovereignty and the capacity to formulate public and regulatory policies. The meeting featured a presentation by Prof. Lucas da Silva Tasquetto, who prepared the paper “The Digital Commerce Agenda and the Positioning of Brazil”, which we now make public (in portuguese).
