The LGPD challenge for public defenders in Brazil

Our experience with the Public Defender’s Office also yielded an essay for an ebook “General Data Protection Law and the Public Power” edited by the Court of Auditors of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (RS). In the publication, Rafael Zanatta and Marina Kitayama addressed topics such as processing data in litigation and serving the population, reflections that emerged from the event “Protection of personal data and the role of the Defenders”, held on September 2, 2020 by the Public Defender’s  Office of the State of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
